Selvaraj Muthusamy, MBBS, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Pathology at Virginia Commonwealth University. After finishing medical education in India, he moved to the U.S. to pursue graduate education. In 2014, he obtained a PhD in Biology at the University of Houston. In 2018, he completed his residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology at Saint Louis University School of medicine. Next, he pursued subspecialty training in molecular genetic pathology at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah, and renal pathology at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
In 2020, Dr. Muthusamy joined the faculty at VCU.
Research interests include: Molecular pathology of medical renal diseases and cancer, bioinformatics and utility of artificial intelligence in diagnostic pathology.
