Selvaraj Muthusamy, MBBS, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Pathology at Virginia Commonwealth University. After finishing medical education in India, Dr. Muthusamy moved to the US to pursue graduate education. In 2014, he obtained his PhD in Biology at the University of Houston. After completing his residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology at Saint Louis University School of medicine in 2018, he pursued subspecialty training in molecular genetic pathology at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah and renal pathology at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
In 2020, Dr. Muthusamy joined the faculty at VCU.
Dr. Muthusamy’s research interests include molecular pathology of medical renal diseases and cancer, bioinformatics and utility of artificial intelligence in diagnostic pathology.
