In Richmond Magazine's annual list, VCU Health team members made up the majority with more than 220 on the annual list. Doctors are nominated by their peers; therefore, the inclusion is a significant and prestigious honor.
A pathologist is known as a "doctor's doctor". As they often work behind the scenes to diagnose diseases, analyze lab tests, and guide treatment plans for other physicians patients.

This peer-level respect is reflected in this year's list, which feature two pathologists from VCU Health as "Top Doctors", chosen by Richmond-area medical professionals.
Dr. Sadia Sayeed is the Director of Cytopathology, and the Director of Gynocologic Pathology. She also serves as the Director of the Cytopathology Fellowship.
Dr. Hope Richard is the Chair of Anatomic Pathology Division, the Director of Autopsy, and the Director of Neuropathology. She also serves as the Director of the Neuropathology Fellowship.
