The Department of Pathology at VCUHS offers a dynamic and expanding basic and translational research enterprise. With a recently renovated, state-of-the-art research and administrative space spanning 23,000 net square feet, our department is well-equipped for cutting-edge investigations. Our team includes principal investigators specializing in basic and translational research, predominantly within the Cellular and Molecular Pathogenesis division. This vibrant research environment provides ample opportunities for residents, fellows, post-doctoral scientists and graduate students to collaborate with faculty on both short- and long-term research projects.
Prospective students interested in pursuing their Ph.D. or Master’s thesis work in basic or translational research in one of our laboratories are encouraged to apply to a graduate program through the VCU School of Medicine. Further details can be found here.
