Dr. Guanhua Lai, MD, PhD, graduated from Suzhou Medical College and earned a PhD in Molecular Biology from Shanghai Second Medical University. He completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and received Fellowship training in Hematopathology at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System.

Dr. Lai has received post-doctoral fellowship training at Virginia Commonwealth University in the laboratory of Dr. Alphonse Sirica. His current research interest is about cholestatic liver injury and the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of hematopoietic neoplasms.
