Dr. Paula Bos is awarded a grant from the National Cancer Institute (NIH).

This is a MERIT award for $2.53M to study the relationship between immune and stromal cells in brain metastasis. A MERIT award provides extended grant support up to seven years for early stage investigators to offer flexibility and opportunity for creativity and innovation in the establishment of their careers.
 
The title of the proposal is “Regulatory T cell modulation of reactive astrogliosis in brain metastasis” and it aims at elucidating the interaction between regulatory T cells and astrocytes in the context of brain metastatic disease, and their impact on the brain metastatic process.
