Alden Chesney joined the Pathology Department in 2016 and has a broad background in laboratory medicine with expertise in Laboratory Hematology. His research interests include the diagnostic molecular pathology of hematologic neoplasms, with the development of novel assays to facilitate their diagnosis; and unraveling the pathobiology and improving the laboratory diagnosis of leukemias, lymphomas and myelodysplastic syndromes.  

Over the course of his career, Dr. Chesney has collaborated with several different research groups, and extended his knowledge and expertise in hematopathology to colleagues in lesser developed countries.

 Clinical Specialties: Hematological Pathology, Immunopathology and Flow Cytometry, Diagnostic Microscopy, Clinical Research and Data Analysis
