Dr. Cora Uram-Tuculescu is Assistant Professor of Pathology at Virginia Commonwealth University. She received her MD from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Victor Babes in Timisoara, Romania and went on to complete her Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency training at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, followed by surgical pathology and cytopathology fellowships at VCU.
Dr. Uram-Tuculescu serves as Director of the Surgical Pathology fellowship program. Assistant Director of Pathology Residency Program and Director of Anatomic Pathology Education. Her clinical interests are in breast, heart, lung, gynecologic, bone and soft tissue pathology, and cytopathology. Dr. Uram-Tuculescu is also an active member of the teaching faculty in the VCU School of Medicine, has graduated from the Teaching in Medical Education (TiME) post-baccalaureate graduate certificate program at VCU School of Education and enjoys teaching students, pathology residents and fellows. She has authored several peer-reviewed publications, a book chapter, abstracts, and has presented courses nationally.
